So here we have it, the last shots from the Valentine’s Photo Shoot with Jade. It has been tremendous fun going through, selecting and editing the photos. Trust me, it’s not hard work if I have to look at a beautiful brunette all day! :-)
I said to Jade at the beginning of the day that I really wanted to capture her face, especially her eyes and I hope I have achieved that. Mind you, it wasn’t that hard; with the combination of great lighting, patience, a hard working model and THOSE eyes all I had to do was make sure I was pointing in the right direction! Oh and not forgetting the wonderful snow we had in Aylesbury. It was very chilly, but I’m sure Jade would agree it was well worth it!
Without doubt once Jade is back from her travels around New Zealand and Australia we’ll do some more shots with another theme. I’m sure I can come up with something. Perhaps a Bridal theme or a Bikini shoot at a beach!? Oh, my life is hard ;-)

I wanted a video to document the shoot as I knew it would be fun. Kelly was in charge of the video shoot while I concentrated on directing Jade. Kelly did a great job! I asked her to shoot as much as she could… had I been in charge of video I wouldn’t have stopped at all :-)
The video is shot entirely on a Nikon D90 in standard mode. It’s a great little camera and certainly complements my Nikon D3.
A special thanks to Pete Edwards and the rest of Red Bullets for allowing me to use their track Shrink Wrap as the soundtrack.

We are almost there! The penultimate photos from Jade’s photo shoot.
Jade got into a stunning purple dress with a cute bow on the back. By now I didn’t have to direct Jade that much; between her and Kelly they came up with some good ideas. Even so, in my strive to be original, I had to fine unique angles to get a good shot.
Finally, be back tomorrow for the final part of the Valentine’s Day shoot and there will be a Video too!! Oohhhh :-)

Before our photo shoot, I had a look at Jade’s previous photo shoots and one thing that was really missing were intimate photos of her face. I asked her what her favourite feature was and she said her eyes, it it was important to capture those. I could not see any other photographer in her past capture the eyes; any Professional worth their money and ego will know the eyes are the most important thing to capture.

After Day One’s shoot at home, we moved onto a small area of Aylesbury called Watermead. I scouted the location the previous day for possible angles and areas. I’m so glad I did as the temperature on Saturday was very chilly. The sun shone however which was a true blessing from the man upstairs!! We were joined by my assistant Kelly (check out her photoblog).
The primary location was the bandstand. I was worried it was a bit too obvious, however I wanted to ease Jade into the environment. We already had a fun session in the morning, but that was in my warm house. Jade wore her coat in the car, I fired a few test shots and to my amazement her coat really worked so I asked her to keep it on and just kept shooting.
Once again, Jade was an absolute joy to shoot. I told her since being a Professional Photographer, I have new appreciation for Professional Models; they have patience and always give to the camera. During our morning shoot, I asked Jade to bring out the real Jade and not Jade Parson’s the model. Bless her, she found that a bit tricky because she’s been modelling for so long. But by joking around and just talking about normal everyday things (some silly, some deep & meaningful) I got genuine smiles and reactions which I adore!
Finally, I have to mention the temperature. According to the temperature guage in my car it was a very Brrrrrrrr two degrees C! Jade did not complain once, she walked through slush, mud and ice on heels without so much as a word. I will remember to bring the throw next time! :-)

In the run up to what is generally considered the most romantic day of the year (that’ll the the 14th Feb for the men who have forgotten) I will be releasing a several photos of Jade Parsons during our Valentine’s Photoshoot. If I died today then I would die a very happy man. I had the great pleasure of Jade’s company, insight and beauty all day. She’s mad as she is engaging and I certainly will be photographing Miss Buckinghamshire again soon. I am still processing the photos, but they will be up online very soon exclusive to www.powpowpictures.com. Below is just a sneak preview. BOOK MARK this site!!!
