Headlining Aylesbury’s Live in the Park 2017 was a tribute act called The Bon Jovi Experience.
Allow me to say that I am a HUGE Bon Jovi fan, especially albums from the 80’s through to the early 2000’s. I mention this because I was a little skeptical about the Bon Jovi Experience; would they sing the songs faithfully?
Would they attempt to put their own interpretations of anthem songs like “Living on a Prayer” and “You give love a bad name!”. Would Ritchie Sambora’s guitar solos be faithfully reproduced in the way we all know and love, or would it be a whaling, distorted, thrashed squeal?
Oh yes! The boys sung those legendary songs the way everybody knows in karaoke bars across the world. More than that the lead singer, whom we shall call Jon, was loving the crowd as they fed his every whim and gesture towards us including a couple of crotch gyrations!
Jon and “Ritchie” were easy to photograph as they were right at the front, but really struggled to shoot the drummer because he was so far at the back, and “David Bryan” the keyboard player hence why the photos below are predominately of Jon, Ritchie and the bass player.
They’re a fun band and got the Aylesbury Life in the Park crowd jumping, waving and singing along; you can’t ask for more from a Bon Jovi evening!
