Photographing giggly teenage girls.

If  you like portrait photography then at some point you will be asked to photograph teenagers. Some of you may be recoiling just at the thought of meeting teenagers but they are not as scary as you think.

Yesterday, I was photographing four teenage girls in my studio. I’ll be honest, I have no idea what teenage girls want or what is “cool” so I didn’t try. Instead, I just got them straight into the shoot.

I had been jokingly warned by one of their mothers that they’re “mad” and had brought “half their wardrobe”. She was right on both counts. But those two combinations meant for a fun and varied hour long session.

The girls did bring alot of clothes with them so to keep thing fresh I got them to change outfits so the photos would have a freshness to them.

In the end, I’m very happy with the results. They, and their parents, are yet to see the photos so I’m hoping they’ll like them when we go to show them at a viewing.
