If you know where Aylesbury is then you know it is in the heart of the home counties and famous for being the furthest distance in any direction away from the coast.

However that does not seem to stop Aylesbury Vale District Council to hold a community family event based on the sea side. After all, England is an island. If we can’t get to the coast, then bring the coast to us. They have called it Aylesbury on Sea. I believe in the past they did import an truck load of sand to simulate a beach but they chose to be a bit more conservative in their plans this time around.

Aylesbury on Sea seemed like a great success. Helped along with the good weather the Aylesbury town families were out in force.

I could only stay for a short while (I had a wedding booked today), but I got a few shots. My main focus was to compile footage for a video (coming soon).
